Ice Blacks Game Day: September 7

The New Zealand Ice Blacks took the opening game of the Trans-Tasman Challenge last night with a 4-2 victory over the Australia Mighty Roos.

The Ice Blacks debuted several new players to start the three-test series, with the Skycity Stampede’s Ryan Strayer impressing the home crowd with two assists, while the Thunder’s Benjamin Gavoille also scored on debut, and the Swarm’s Logan Fraser was working the Australian’s hard along the boards with one hit worthy of a…SMASHED ‘EM BRO!

Tickets are still available from EventFinda with individual game and series passes on sale, plus door sales are also available at Queenstown Ice Arena from 6pm on game day.
